Oscar-Claude Monet was a French painter born in Paris in 1840 and died in 1926. Claude Monet studied at the Académie Suisse where he was a classmate of Auguste Renoir. He was one of the pioneers of the Impressionist movement. During his long career, he mostly created paintings of nature and landscapes. Despite personal struggles, Monet's dedication to his craft and love for nature has inspired artists worldwide ever since.
